What makes me a great tutor is the fact that I can relate to the students. Teachers sometimes have the inability to do this so I believe it is the tutor's job to be able to relate to the student to help them understand what they are going through. I like tutoring because when someone doesn’t understand something, and I can help them understand it, it makes me feel really accomplished and that I’ve helped. Certain concepts and subjects are hard to understand by yourself sometimes and when you don’t understand them, you feel frustrated and you’re not good enough. I would be a great tutor because I have a lot of experience in teaching as I've been teaching dance for about 4 years. Additionally, over summer I volunteered at a STEM museum which gave me the opportunity to interact with and help different people understand certain topics and experiments. Also, writing has always been one of my strengths and I am very fond of it. I have won writing contests over the years, whether it be at conventions or in school. Furthermore, I am also great at Spanish. I enjoy helping middle school Spanish teachers come up with different games and activities and often assist them in things like grading.

I tutored Algebra 1 last semester's tutoring block in CSF. Additionally, I've also done tutoring work outside of school with younger students, primarily with math. I used to struggle with academics in the past, and I know how much peer-to-peer tutoring can help. For me, tutoring is super fun because I love to help others and it's a great experience to see peers make progress in concepts that they've struggled on.
